Services
Our first mission is tooling and automation support to all of our Flanders Electric plants so we can better control quality, delivery time, and be on hand for fast consulting on special projects. We can also design and/or fabricate details to your specifications. Additionally, we are experienced with dies and special machines (see below).

We are experienced in designing, fabricating, assembling and repairing many types of dies including:

Automated Equipment (Workcells)
Workcells (specialized machines) are versatile semi-automatic quick-change machines designed to accept specialized tools. This allows one workcell to run multiple tools.
Three examples of workcells that have specific applications are: the Standard workcell, the Robot workcell and the Aimer workcell.
Standard workcells are the most versatile of the workcells we offer. They can be configured for many different operations (such as assembly, leak testing, dimensional testing, heat staking, etc.).
Robot workcells are configured for a small payload robot to be mounted within the workcell to perform complex operations (such as applying plasma treatment and/or hot-melt adhesives to surfaces).
Aimer workcells are equipped with automated aiming hardware and software to photo-aim and electrically test headlamps.
All workcells are equipped with automatic pneumatic and electrical connections that allow for quick and easy loading and set up of specialized tools. They are equipped with hard barriers and lockable control panels for operator and machine safety.
Dies sets are universal mounting surfaces for all specialized tools.
Specialized tools are simply nests, pneumatics, sensors and other components mounted on a die set. This design allows for much needed accuracy for processes (special tooling) in a flexible quick-change environment (workcell). Each workcell (Standard, Robot and Aimer) has its own corresponding die set.
Specialized tools can be designed to perform a number of operations including: Assembly, Leak testing, Plasma treating surfaces and Photo aiming and electrical testing.
