Flanders Electric Motor Service, Inc. was founded as a motor repair shop in 1947 by Frank Flanders and consisted of Frank and two employees. From this 3-man motor shop, Flanders Electric has grown to over 650 employees with over 700,000 square feet of total shop and office facilities. Providing a variety of electric motor services to users worldwide, Flanders Electric is an enduring symbol of Midwestern work ethic in action. "In-house" coil manufacturing, lamination punching & cutting, commutator fabrication, and an extensive machine shop makes Flanders Electric unique in the industry with internal quality control of motor repair components. Our ISO 9001:2008 processes & procedures are applied not only to component manufacturing, but to all facets of the repair process from incoming inspection to outgoing testing. Flanders development of "in-house" motor component manufacturing led to the Flanders motor manufacturing division. Complete design of new AC or DC machines for any application is completed by our motor engineering group. Our motor engineers work closely with our motor repair personnel to identify & avoid potential problems or weaknesses. Manufacturing and assembly is completed in our Evansville factory with on-site installation & start-up performed by our field service division.
